Abstract

The data of soil respiration of three forests in Dabie Mountains in west Anhui was statistically analyzed. The results show that the daily changes of the soil respiration rate in the three forests increase first then decrease, and the soil respiration rate is correlating with the soil temperature at depth of 5 cm and 10 cm.In 5 cm to 10 cm depth of Chinese-fir forest, the soil respiration and the soil organic matter correlate very significantly with correlation coefficient 0.978(p0.01),which is significant in 0 cm to 5 cm layer of sawtooth oak forest(0.928,p0.05)and in 5 cm to 10 cm layer of Chinese-fir-sawtooth oak mixed forest(0.964,p0.05).
