Abstract
The soil respiration rate of two forest types in Dabieshan Mountain in the western of Anhui Province was statistically analyzed.The results showed that the soil respiration rate of two forest types increased first and then decreased in different seasons.There existed great correlation between soil respiration rate and soil temperature at the depth of 5 cm and 10 cm.There was also highly significant correlation between soil respiration rate and soil organic matter content at the depth of 5~10 cm layer in Chinese-fir forest with the correlation coefficient was 0.978(p0.01).In bast oak forest,the soil respiration rate was significantly correlated with soil organic matter content in 0~ 5cm layer(0.928,p0.05).
