Abstract

Abstract : This paper examines the Army's Leader Development System and its current inability to provide tactically competent leaders for the future battlefield. Faced with the challenges of increasingly constrained resources, a technology driven Revolution in Military Affairs, and a Leader Development System designed for the cold war, the Army is faced with the requirement to overhaul the current system, focus on new skills required of future leaders, and leverage technology in training in developing critical competencies.
