EVALUATION OF INTERNET ADDICTION AND EFFECTS AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract

Internet is an indispensable part of our everyday life. Most young people enjoy the use of the Internet, but for some the use of the Internet can get out of control and turns into an addiction. Internet addiction leads an individual to a state in which which Internet is the dominant life activity, which isolate it from the environment. The main objective of this paper is to analyze data on internet addiction among students of the Faculty of Education in Sombor. The research was carried out by Internet Addiction Test, one of the oldest and most widely used instruments in this field. Survey results indicate that about one-third of students (33.3%) the symptoms of disorders of Internet use.
