Abstract
Effects of glucose and insulin on triglycerides(TG) accumulation, enzyme activity and mRNA expression of fatty acid synthase(FAS) were investigated in primary hepatocytes of Sichuan White goose(Anser cygnoides) and Landes goose(A.anser).Results showed that 5 mmol/L glucose or 50 nmol/L insulin alone had no evident effect on the TG accumulation, enzyme activity and gene expression of FAS in goose primary hepatocytes of both breeds, but 30 mmol/L glucose could significantly increase those param-eters.5 mmol/L glucose and 50 nmol/L insulin cultured together could significantly increase the TG accumulation, enzyme activity and gene expression of FAS,and the induction effect of 30 mmol/L glucose and 50 nmol/L insulin was more evident. In addition, the effect of 5 mmol/L glucose and 50 nmol/L insulin cultured together on the TG accumulation in hepatocytes of Landes goose was bigger than that of Sichuan Whites goose, and the effect of 30 mmol/L glucose and 50 nmol/L insulin cultured together on the gene expression of FAS in hepatocytes of Landes goose was bigger than that of Sichuan Whites goose.
