There are needs and advantages in belonging to a single system for monitoring worldwide hotel industry business results which enables the comparison of business results for individual countries world-wide, European and other individual countriy's hotel industries, as well as an apparisal of the tourism market. Membership of such a system improves the competitive strenght af a country's hotel industry through rasising service quality and guest satisfaction, and as such, quality of the tourism offer. Through the exchange of vital information on hotel business performances of individual countries and inclusion in the international flow of ccapital, a participatory partnership with the world tourism market is secured. A basis for efficient hotel management as a precondition for successful hotel business is formed. Monitoring the indicator room rate enables the efficiency of investment capital to be measured and facilitates final decision making for investments. better financial results improve and strenghten the hotel's long term market position. For a country to enter an international hotel standard system for business information and communication, prescribed conditions and standards must be satisfied.
