Tricyclic Antidepressant Intoxication; Several Complications after an Acute Poisoning by Amitriptyline and Clomipramine

Abstract

Tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) toxicity is common among children and adults due to widespread use. Tricyclic ant depressive drugs are widely used in suicide attempts and present a variety of deleterious effects. In this case report we present a patient with severe poisoning by ingestion of amitriptyline and clomipramine in which many complications were observed.
