Abstract

Endophthalmitis is an inflammatory reaction of intraocular fluids or tissues.The infectious of endophthalmitis,one of the most serious of complications of ocular surgeries,often causes severe visual impairment or even the loss of an eye.Acute postoperative infectious endophthalmitis usually Occurs within six weeks of ocular surgery,90% of postoperative endophthalmitis OCCUlrsin cataract surgery,the most comnlon intraocular surgery.Oculists therefore always pay high attention to understand its etiology and take measures to prevent and cure.A review on the relevant issues of the incidence of acute endoph-thalmitis after cataract surgery is below.
