Abstract

DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) technology is specially developed for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Compared to other wireless communication technologies, DSRC technology has many advantages. This paper discusses the technical characteristics, communication mechanism, and the application of DSRC technology in ITS.
