Abstract

The Department of Human Services (DHS) in the Loddon Mallee Region is currently exploring innovative ways to better support young public housing tenants. Young people who qualify for public housing usually do so through segment one of the Segmented Waiting List. This means that they are at high risk of homelessness are vulnerable, and may not be well enough equipped in terms of life skills or resilience, to maintain a successful tenancy.
