Abstract

December 2014 marks the retirement of Jeff Akehurst after a distinguished 40+ year career in the planning profession. After a number of senior roles throughout the 1970s and 1980s with the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works and various incarnations of the Department of Planning, Jeff commenced work at the City of Caulfield in 1990 as the manager of an eight person planning department.
