Abstract

In this paper, a generic video data acquisition module is proposed. Our module is composed of a video decoder SAA7113H and a FPGA(Field Programmable Gates Array). First, the module uses an analog CCD camera to obtain an image, which is digitized through a video decoder SAA7113H. After that, a Cyclone FPGA is used to control the acquisition of video data for subsequent image processing. We write FPGA program and perform simulation and debugging, the debugging and simulation results verify the feasibility and stability of the module. The module designed in this paper can be used as front-end video data acquisition in various image processing system.
