Abstract
In this paper the selection of parameters of single-phase shunt active power filter (APF) was described. The considered APF was controlled with using p-q algorithm. The purpose of the filter is to eliminate the harmonics of current source and power factor correction. The model of the APF with follower PI controller of compensation current, PI DC-link voltage controller and with additional passive filter to eliminate the high harmonic components has been proposed. The choice an appropriate dc component filter of the instantaneous power was analyzed in the paper. Complete single-phase power system with source generator, nonlinear load and APF was modeled in MATLAB-Simulink environment. In the performed simulations selected static and dynamic properties of the active filter were analyzed.
