Abstract
Summary In the middle and later oilfield life, the requirement on the fine characterization for thin reservoir becomes higher, and it has become an inevitable trend that geological researchers integrate logging data with seismic data and reduce subjective intervention to realize semi-quantitative or quantitative description. This paper takes geostatistical analysis and planar interpolation algorithm as a mathematical tool, respectively discusses the conversion relation between discrete sedimentary facies data and continuous sandstone ratio data in the well point, the correlation of seismic attributes and well point sandstone ratio, and the optimal selection method for sensitive seismic attributes. At the same time, the prediction model for sandstone ratio was established, and based on the correlation coefficient of the model, the appropriate planar interpolation algorithm was selected to map sandstone ratio contour. Combined with single well facies and sedimentary background, finally the conversion model of sandstone ratio and sedimentary microfacies was used to obtain relatively reasonable geological result maps for characterizing sedimentary microfacies for thin reservoir. Through the practical application and validation in the study area, the result proved good, and therefore a set of more feasible study approach and technical process for fine reservoir characteristics description using logging and seismic formed.
