Abstract

The ratio of patient number of the bacterial food poisoning in several pathogens and places are investigated by the statistical method. Present data is consisted of a number of patients, pathogens and places obtained from the Annual Report of Food-born Disease in Japan during the period of 1984-1988. The pathogen examined in this study are Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Salmonella and Staphylococcus.Present results shows that 1; the present data expressed nearly in logarithms, and the number of patients in corresponded to (log (x+1) ) . 2; There is strongly correlated between the places and a number of patients caused by those bacterial poisoning diseases. 3; The ratio of the patient number and occurrence interval might be estimated by determining of the mean values and occurrences limits (mean ±2×S.D.) of bacterial food poisoning in pathogen, place and place-pathogen cross-link.The number of patients is mostly affected with Vibrio parahaemolyticus in the pathogen and also with school-nursey and caterer·box lunch service in the place. They are also affected with Salmonella in the pathogen, and with school·nursery in the place, and also with Staphylococcus in place-pathogen cross-link.
