Abstract This chapter discusses the significance of the codes of practice in management conduct. The common system of beliefs existing in a concern, or in one section of a concern, is manifested in the way in which people treat each other. Each firm has its code of practice which defines the kind of conduct appropriate to managerial roles. The code is fixed by the managing director. This is his most important contribution to the welfare of the organization.
