Abstract

This report serves several purposes. It describes chemical methods used in this Laboratory for the evaluation of forage plants. Some of these methods have been published by others, some are modifications or adaptations of published methods, and some have been developed in this Laboratory. This report also presents in a condensed form the composition of forages as found by these methods, and finally, and this is the primary purpose of this report, these methods have been judged as to their suitability for the evaluation of forage
