Abstract
In China, the deterioration of ecological environment in mining districts has already become an important socio-economic problem, which hinders the local economic development. Many phenomena attract people’s attention on the ecological value compensation in mining districts, such as severe degeneration of the ecological functions, economic depression, capital flight and the loss of talented people. Using theories of economics and the theories in economics and ecological economics, this paper emphasizes the behavior and manner of ecological value compensation in mining districts to give some useful advices on how to construct the ecological mining districts and promote the sustainable development of economy in the mining districts.
