Investigations on the 1983 year-class of Norwegian spring-spawning herring

The 1983 year class of Norv;egian spring-spawning herrin~J is very strong as 0-group conpared to any year class since the collapse of the stock in the late 1960s..This paper gives a summary of the Norwegian investigations on this year class in the period April 1983 -June 1984.Distribution charts, length distributions and relative and absolute abundance estiamtes are given.
