ABOUT WILDLIFE RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

In this article it has been dealt with issues such as importance of wildlife resources in Turkish economy, need for planning for the resources, methodology and technique of planning or how to develop a wildlife management plan for actual situation in Turkey. Meanwhile, it has been touched main political and administrative faults as well as actual problems concerning wildlife management activities in Turkey. The issues were studied especially on basis of Turkish wildlife reserve areas (YHGS's). Since these areas covering lands which have ecological and economical importance, they had been aiming a lot of goals from conservation of genetic resources to hunting tourism. As for administrational aspect of YHGS's, if could have been planned properly, they could showed the way to manage many wildlife areas including Natural Protected Areas (NPAs) and hunting grounds. For the reason, it was thought that modeling a scientifical, rational and feasible management plan for the YHGS's would make a significant contribution to manage Turkish wildlife resources.Keywords: Wildlife Reserve Areas, Management Plan, Model Plans, Planning Guide, Administrative Problems
