Abstract

The characteristics of wildlife resources and the trends of their variations in China are analyzed in this paper, and the main challenges in the conservation and management of wildlife resources are discussed. Some measures to improve the conservation and management of wildlife resources are proposed: the establishment of nature reserves, captive breeding, fight against illegal trading, hunting management, and human dimensions of wildlife management.
