Abstract Colloidal solutions of polysulfur compounds including elemental sulfur (Sn, n = 6‐10) and polythionates (SmO62‐, m = 4‐16), known as Selmi sulfur sols, are prepared from Na2S, Na2SO3, and H2SO4.
