The family and family life education.

In view of the important part the family plays in preparing a child for a full and stable adult life several institutions and agencies in Jamaica have begun Family Life Education programs. Their goal is a training in human relationships that will improve the quality of life for the student and others. Among the components of the programs are sex education and family planning. The responsibilities of parenthood is another area covered with fathers and potential fathers seen as a particular target group. The Bureau of Health Education has prepared booklets on some of the topics covered in the Family Life Education programs.
