Due to the rapid development of technology, teachers have more choices and innovative ways to transfer knowledge to students. This paper aims to investigate the teaching methodology in Hong Kong and English primary schools. It begins with a comprehensive review of the relationship between teaching methods and student's learning satisfaction. Chinese teaching values are discussed theoretically as they probably have remarkable influences on the Hong Kong teacher's teaching style and teaching methods. Through conducting questionnaires and an interview, the paper reports that Hong Kong and English primary school teachers seem to use technology, especially computers for planning and giving lessons. In addition, a wide range of student's abilities and large sized classes are probably the main limitations of using teaching methods in classes. With the trend of continuum professional development and small sized class teaching, certain types of English teaching methods, such as group works, appear to be adaptable into Hong Kong primary schools. However, due to the limited teacher's sample, it is suggested that further large scaled studies are recommended for further development of this area.
