Abstract

Abstract It is found that the yields of radicals formed from ephedrine (I), timolol (II), metoprolol (III), and terodiline (IV) are dependent on the pKa value of the parent substance, and consequently on the pH of the reaction mixture since radicals are formed from the free bases only.
