Abstract

One of main security threats that the offshore pipeline faces is that it may be broken because of collision, among which the most important aspect comes from anchoring work of ships.Based on the risk assessment of offshore pipeline, the risk degrees of anchor and chains to collide with offshore pipeline are studied according to the mathematical model of the probability of collision with offshore pipeline under the circumstance of anchor rupturing and anchor dragging respectively. At last, the mathematical model is further explored by simulating an example illustration.
