Abstract
Active power filter(APF) is used for dynamic harmonic suppressing and compensation reactive current, and it can effectively improve the power network quality. The equipment is made up of two main sections: harmonic current detection and harmonic compensation. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the structure and operating principle of shunt active power filte(rSAPF). The paper uses two approaches:the ip-iq harmonic current detection which is based on the instantaneous reactive power theory, and the triangular carrier current tracking control method. And the model of the active power filter is established by using MATLAB software and Simulink module. The simulation results show that the simulation model can realize the real-time detection of harmonic current in the system and conduct compensation at the same time to achieve better dynamic harmonic suppressing result.
