Abstract
Objective: To study the clinical value of bronchial artery chemoemboli - :zation(BACE) with PVA for central bronchogenic carcinoma. Methods; BACE was performed in 32 cases of central bronchogenic carcinoma, and bronchial artery angiograms were taken to confirm the blood supply of lesions. Chemoembolization was performed in bronchial artery or its branches by super - selective catheterization. Ernbolic agents used were PVA, the particle size was 350 - 500 μm. Results: The total effective rate of treatment was 100 % and obvious effective rate was 84% in this group. No one died in the folloe - up of 12 months. Conclusion: BACE with PVA is a safe and effective method for central bronchogenic carcinoma, and has good short - term effect in the treatment of central bronchogenic carcinoma.
