Clinical Observation of Acupuncture and Herbs in Treating 30 Cases of Apoplectic Sequelae

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and herbs in the treatment of apoplectic sequelae.Methods Sixty subjects were randomized into two groups:control group in which 30 cases were treated with routine therapy and treatment group in which 30 cases were treated with acupuncture and herbs.The neurological deficit scores,ADL scores and symptom scores were observed before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate was 73.3% in control group and 90.0% in treatment group,P0.05;after treatment,the neurological deficit scores,ADL scores and symptom scores were improved significantly in both groups(P0.05),with great differences between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and herbs has better effects than routine therapy in the treatment of apoplectic sequelae.
