Abstract
Objective To analyze the recombinant HIV-1 p24 antigen prepared by the authors and lay a foundation of developing diagnostic kit for HIV antibody. Methods National reference for HIV-Ab and normal human sera were detected by ELISA using recombinant p24 as coated antigen. Results The accuracy rates of recombinant p24 antigens used for detecting HIV-Ab positive and negative references were 95% (19/20) and 90%(18/20) respectively. However,no HIV-Ab was detected in 50 specimens of normal human sera. Conclusion The prepared recombinant p24 antigen showed high specificity and sensitivity and was suitable for developing diagnostic kit for HIV-Ab.
