Microwell plates were pre coated with purified recombinant HIV 1 P24 and fusion P24 gp41 respectively. Serous samples from healthy donors and the national standard HIV Ab panel for HIV antibody tests were detected by ELISA with the pre coated plates. The results showed all of the healthy donors' sera were negative. For the national standard HIV Ab positive panel, the detective rate of the rP24 and the fussion P24 gp41 was 95%(19/20) and 90%(18/20) respectively. For the HIV Ab negative panel, the pass rate of the rP24 and the fusion P24 gp41 was 90%(18/20) and 60% (12/20) respectively,these result suggest that the developed rP24 has highly sensitivity and specificity and can be used in the manufacure of HIV antibody diagnositic reagent.
