Study on Functional Zoning of Land Use in Xuchang City

The purpose of paper is to set up a system of functional zoning of land use,divide the functional zones of land use and provide basis for the regulation and control of regional land use. Methods employed include induction,map overlay and cluster analysis. The paper established a grade system of functional zoning of regional land use and divides the total area into 5 functional zones and 20 functional sub-zones based on the zoning index system. It is concluded that,under the grade framework of functional zoning of land use,the regulation and control of regional land use can be achieved.
