Abstract
This paper uses sound intensity technique to test the noise of petrol engine.The experimental data is collected and stored in STAR acoustics structural measurement systems.Contour maps,sound intensity vector,sound power and sound power level are computed.The results identify the main noise source of this engine,and source position,main noise frequency,sound power magnitude and contribution of sound power.
