Abstract
This paper uses p-p sound intensity technique to test the noise of petrol machine,analyze datum what is collected and stored in STAR acoustics structural measurement systems.Contour maps and sound intensity vector can be drawn after analysis,sound power and sound power level can be computed.These results identify the main noise source of this engine,its source of noise's position,main noise frequency,sound power magnitude and contribution of sound power,and makes reference to reduce the noise that emitted from the tested engine.
