Abstract
Aim To research lossless data compression in data acquisition systems. \{Methods\}After comparing several data compression algorithms including LZW algorithm and the improved one, the authors have studied the possibility for LZW hardware implementation by FPGA.Results LZW algorithm is the best one in data acquisition systems. Conclusions We can get higher compression speed by FPGA. This method is suitable for micro data acquisition systems.
