Abstract
Tomato plug seedlings were stored at 12℃,8℃ and 5℃ in darkness to select the suitable storage temperature and duration. The seedling quality was evaluated by some of modality and physiological indexes after 5,10 and 15 days. The results indicated the chlorophyll content and root vigor decreased obviously at all temperatures. The fresh weight, dry weight,G value and surviving rate of the plugs fell with different degree. At 12℃and 8℃ plugs could be stored 15 days and 5 days at 5℃.The suitable temperature for storing tomato seedlings ranged from 8℃ to 12℃.The seedling of 12℃ grew better than those at other temperatures,so 12℃ could be the best storage temperature.
