Abstract

Objective: To explore the expression of CXCR7 in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC) and to evaluate the expression of CXCR7 and the clinicopathology factors of OSCC.Methods: CXCR7 protein expression and its relation to clinico-pathological features of OSCC were examined in 20 normal oral tissues and 48 OSCC by immunohistochemical SP methods. Results: The overexpression rate of CXCR7 in OSCC was 81.2%(39/48),which was significant higher than that of the control group 25%(5/20)(P0.005);The overexpression of CXCR7 among the lower differentiated tissues were significant higher than the middle/ higher differentiated tissues of OSCC(P0.05),and the findings were similar among the groups of the Ⅲ、Ⅳ clinical stages than Ⅰ、Ⅱ clinical stages, and lymph node involvement than the non-lymph node involvement of OSCC(P0.05).Conclusion: The overexpression of CXCR7 might be play an important role in the pathogenesis and development of OSCC,and it might be a target for the therapy and prognostic indicator of OSCC.
