Research Progress and Developmental Countermeasures on Tropical Crop Germplasm Resources in China

The main domestic and foreign organizations engaged in the research of germplasm resources and the progress on tropical crop germplasm investigation, collection, preservation, identification, evaluation and utilization are summarized. The main problems existing in work of tropical crop germplasm in China are analyzed. The developmental countermeasures such as establishing research and management system for tropical crop germplasm resources, perfecting conservation system and improving conservation facilities, perfecting sharing system and increasing sharing efficiency and training talents are put forward.
