Qualitative Study of Community Health Nursing Development Suggestions for Nursing Managers of Chongqing

Objective To understand factors and problems of community health nursing based on the investigation which had been carried out,and to provide suggestions for improving community health nursing.Methods A semi-structured interview was conducted on 7 directors in charge of community health nursing and health service.Results Factors that affected the development of community health nursing may include the following: lack of funds,poor cooperation of involved parties and residents,imperfectness of management system and poor laws and rules on community health nursing.Conclusion Community health nursing had been developing and obtained some achievements.However,there was still a long way to go.Policies to attract more excellent nurses working in community should be worked out.Community management system should be improved and related laws and rules should be established so as to improve community health nursing.
