Abstract

Stable isotope techniques have become useful techniques for ecological research in many areas.Stable carbon isotope discrimination provides a unique measurement in biogeochemical process, and is generally correlated with terrestrial ecosystem carbon cycle mechanism research efficiently.Wetlands are important ecosystems involved in global carbon cycle. The carbon source and sink of wetland have become the focus problem of studying global climate change.Therefore,δ13C value could indicate the carbon cycle of wetland ecosystem during long period.Stable isotope technique application of wetland ecosystem carbon cycle was focused on the following aspects: wetland vegetation photosynthesis, soil organic matter deposition and traceability, soluble inorganic carbon input, and wetland carbon dioxide and methane emissions, etc.
