Observation of Curative Effect on Microalbuminuria of Diabetic Nephropathy Treated with Irbesartan Tablets

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of irbesartan tablets in the treatment of type 2 diabetic nephropathy patients with microalbuminuria (MAU). Methods With double-blind contrast method, 158 type 2 diabetic nephropathy patients with microalbuminuria (MAU) were treated with irbesartan tablets 150 mg each time through orally for 6 months. Results 94 % patients with urinary albumin excretion recovered to normal and 6% patients relieved in the treatment group. Conclusions Irbesartan has good renal protection effect in treatment of type 2 diabetic nephropathy microalbuminuria.
