Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of DNCB immunotherapy in treatment of immunorelated skin diseases. Methods: We used DNCB-paper method (DNCB solution absorbed in a small piece paper instead of DNCB acetone solution directly dropped on to the skin) to treat 90 cases of alopecia areata, 22 cases of verruca vulgaris, 140 cases of molluscum contagiosum, 120 cases of verruca plana and 6 cases of immuno-related suppurative diseases for clinical analysis. Results: The cure rate of alopecia areata was 33.3%, verruca plana 35%, verruca vulgaris and verruca plantaris 56% and 66%, molluscum contagiosum 41.8% and the effect to other immuno-related suppurative diseases was sometimes very excellent. Conclusion: DNCB immuno-therapy was very effective for virus skin diseases as verruca plana, verruca vulgaris, verruca plantaris, molluscum contagiosum and also effective for alopecia areata especially some resistent cases but not for routine use.
