The Efficacy of 5-aminolevulinic Acid Photodynamic Therapy for 8 Cases of Verruca Vulgaris and 12 Cases of Verruca Plantaris

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic in treatment of verruca vulgaris and verruca plantaris.Methods Eight cases of verruca vulgaris and 12 cases of verruca plantaris were treated with ALA-PDT.Clinical effects were evaluated after 3 months of follow-up.Results After treatment for 3 to 7 times,2.8 times on average,all patients' lesions were cured with no adverse reactions. Having been followed up for 3 months,none had a recurrence.Conclusion ALA-PDT is safe and effective in treatment of verruca vulgaris and verruca plantaris.
