Semen quality changes before and after varicoceletomy in infertile patients

Abstract

Objectives:To evaluate the changes of semen quality before and after varicoceletomy in infertile patients. Methods: A comparison of their semen parameters before and after varicoceletomy was made in the 110 infertile patients in accordance with varicocele analysis standard described in the WHO manual. Results: A significant increase was found in semen sperm density, (A+B)grade sperm percentage, number of efective sperm, activity ratio, number of motile sperm, sperm hypotension swell percentage and normal sperm morphology percentage after varicoceletomy.The significant difference was observed (P0.05). Conclusion: The varicoceletomy can improve the quality of the sperm in the patients with varicocele.
