Abstract
The Darason gold deposit is located in the East Asia area of Russia, and is one of the famous ultra-large type gold deposits in the world. The formation of the deposit is characterized by geotectonic multistage, gold multisource and multigenesis. The master metallogenesis is middle-low temperature hydrothermal process, and both the hydrothermal ore-forming and the ore-forming driving force are related to the Mesozoic tectono-magmatic activation in Diwa stage. Gold in the hydrothermal ore-forming solution comes from both the gold re-formation in Hercynian granite in geosyclinal stage and the gold source at depth in Diwa stage. After hydrothermal metallization, the crust in the ore area uplifted continually, that led to the intense development of weathering and denudation and the formation of sedimentary gold placer in the stream valley terrace of Darason. Therefore, the formation of the deposit is similar to the stratabound gold deposit, but the source bed is a source body. There is not only endogenic gold metallization, but also exogenetic gold placer enrichment, forming a ultralarge type gold deposit, so that the deposit is listed as a polygenetic compound gold deposit.
