Abstract
The Mayoumu gold deposit is an independent gold deposit newly found in Tibet. This paper deals mainly with the general characteristics about the form of ore bodies, fabric and component of ores, natural gold in the Mayoumu gold deposit. The ore-forming process is divided into three periods, that is,the hydrothermal, weathering and sedimentary periods. The hydrothermal period related with gold mineralization can be divided into three stages at least. The paper discusses the characteristics of fluid inclusions, sulfur, lead, oxygen hydrogen and Ar-Ar isotopes dating in the deposit. The authors consider that the Mayoumu gold deposit is a meso-epithermal gold deposit related with geothermal activities after the preliminary study.
