Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of Holmium laser on the treatment of urinary calculi, benign prostatic hyperplasia and bladder tumors.Methods:Twenty-nine cases of ureter stone and 55 cases of bladder stones were treated via ureteroscope or cystoscope with holmium laser lithotriptor. 55 cases bladder tumors and 16 cases prostatic hyperplasia were treated via cystoscope resection with holmium laser.Results:Twenty-eight of 29 cases ureter stones completed stones fragmentation, all bladder stones were fragmented and 55 cases bladder tumors were resected, 2 cases underwent laser enucleation of prostate and 14 cases direct vaporization of prostate no complications occurred. Conclusions:The application of holmium laser in lithotripsy, resection of bladder tumors and prostatectomy is a safe and effective procedure.
