Abstract
Based on the plan to build an artificial island in Dalian Bay,considering a variety of artificial islands in the combination of length and width conditions, and using MIKE21 flow model to simulate the Gulf flow field and pollutant dispersion before and after the construction of the artificial island, this paper studies water exchange, pollutant dispersion and retention rate in the Gulf, and then evaluates the impact of water environment by the artificial island in the Gulf.Considering different functions and factors of the artificial island and the water environment, recommended artificial islands are given for planning.
