Abstract
As man-made ocean engineering structures, artificial island inevitably affects the hydrodynamic characteristics of the gulf.Based on ECOMSED,a 3-D tidal-flow numerical model of Dalian bay was established for the arranged schemes of artificial island.According to the Lagrangian particle tracking technology, the movements of single particle and particles swarm in the gulf were simulated.By analyzing the 3D movement of particles before and after construction of artificial island, the recommended planning of artificial islands and the arrangement of drain outlet were proposed based on pollutant movement.
