Abstract

Objective:To investigate the value of urinary microalbumin(mAlb) detection in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy. Methods:A total of 100 diabetes cases that were diagnosed during January 2008 and January 2012 were selected, including 60 cases of patients with diabetic nephropathy(DN group) and 40 cases of patients with early diabetes(early DM group),another 30 healthy counterparts were also selected as control group.Venous blood and urine were collected from these subjects for detecting blood glucose, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen and urinary microalbumin. Results:In the control group,FBG was(5.12±0.45) mmol/L,quantitative detection of BUN,Scr,mAlb were all normal,mAlb was(8.5±1.2) mg / L.In early DM group,FBG was(7.65±1.32) mmol / L,9(30.0%),8(20.0%),and 33 cases(82%) showed abnormal BUN、Scr、mAlb,respectively;mAlb was(25.3±9.8) mg/L.In the DN group,FBG was(8.56±2.54) mg / L,50(83.3%),55(91.7%),and 60 cases(100.0%) showed abnormal BUN、Scr、mAlb,respectively;mAlb was(55.1±22.5) mg/L.Significant differences were observed when these data of early DM group and DN group were compared with that of the control group. There were significant difference in abnormality rate of BUN、Scr、mAlb and in mAlb.In both DM group and DN group, abnormality rate of mAlb was significant higher than the abnormality rate of BUN、Scr、mAlb(P all 0.05).Conclusions:mAlb is valuable in early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.
